Free QR code generator

Our free QR code generator turns any web address into a print-ready QR code. Paste your link below and download the PNG right away, with no account and no credit card. With a free account, the code goes through a short link that counts scans and whose destination can change. The Pro plan adds a logo, colours and SVG and PDF formats.

Create your QR code now

Free, no account. The QR code is made in your browser.

This code is not tracked and its destination can never change. Create a free account to count scans and change the destination; Pro adds your logo.

Create a QR code in four steps

It takes under two minutes to go from a web address to a QR code your customers can scan.

  • Sign in with Google, with Apple, or by email with a magic link. No password to remember.
  • Paste the destination address. It must start with http or https.
  • Krealo QR creates a short link on qr.krealomedia.com and shows the matching QR code.
  • Download the image as a PNG, then print it or publish it online.

What the Free plan includes

The Free plan is free forever and needs no credit card. It is enough for a poster, a menu or a business card:

  • Black-and-white QR codes
  • Short links with a random slug
  • Total click counter for each link
  • PNG download
  • Up to 10 active links

When to move to Pro

Pro costs $5.99 a month, plus taxes, and you can cancel at any time. It becomes useful when you want a polished brand look or a code you can fix after printing: logo in the centre, custom colours, dot and corner styles, a custom slug, editable destinations, detailed statistics, SVG and PDF formats and unlimited links.

Tips before you print your QR code

A well-printed QR code scans on the first try. A few habits avoid unpleasant surprises:

  • Size: allow at least two centimetres per side, and more if the code will be scanned from a distance.
  • Contrast: a dark pattern on a light background reads better than the reverse.
  • Margin: leave empty space around the code, with no text or image touching it.
  • Surface: avoid folds, very glossy surfaces and busy backgrounds.
  • Test: always scan the code with more than one phone before sending it to print.

Where to use a QR code

  • Restaurant menu: customers scan and read the menu on their phone.
  • Flyer or poster: one scan leads to the sign-up page, the promotion or the booking page.
  • Business card: the code leads to your website or contact page.
  • Packaging: the code links to instructions, warranty information or a reassurance page.

Why a short link instead of a direct address?

A QR code that holds the address itself gets denser and harder to scan when the address is long. With Krealo QR, the code holds only a short link. It stays simpler, and every scan is counted. With Pro, you can also change the destination without redoing the code.
