Dynamic QR code

A dynamic QR code points to a short link whose destination you can change at any time, without touching the code you already printed. With Krealo QR Pro, at $5.99 a month plus taxes, you edit the address from your account and follow scans by day, country, device and referrer.

Create your QR code now

Free, no account. The QR code is made in your browser.

This code is not tracked and its destination can never change. Create a free account to count scans and change the destination; Pro adds your logo.

Your QR code will appear here

Static or dynamic QR code

A static QR code holds the address itself. If the address changes, you have to redo the code and reprint it. A dynamic QR code holds a short link instead. That link redirects to the destination, and the destination is what you can edit. The printed pattern never changes.

Change the destination without reprinting

Each Krealo QR code points to its own link, in the form qr.krealomedia.com/your-slug. The redirect is a 302, which is temporary, so the destination can be changed later. With Pro, you change the address at any time from your account. Posters, menus and packaging already printed then lead to the new page.

Track your scans

Every scan is counted. Free shows the total clicks for each link. Pro breaks visits down by day, country, device type and referrer. No IP address is stored: only the date, country, device type and referrer domain are kept.

When to choose a dynamic QR code

A dynamic code is the right choice whenever the destination page might change:

  • A restaurant menu that changes with the seasons.
  • A promotion whose address changes with each campaign.
  • Packaging or signs printed in large quantities.
  • A booking page you move to another site.
  • A business card whose link may need to evolve.

What happens if Pro ends?

If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the month you paid for, then your account goes back to Free. Your links keep working and the codes already printed remain valid. However, you can’t create more than 10 active links or edit a destination until you go Pro again.

Combining dynamic, logo and API

Pro brings together the dynamic code, the logo in the centre, custom colours, the custom slug and SVG and PDF formats. If you manage many links, the REST API lets you create and list them from your own tools.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static code holds the address itself and can’t change. A dynamic code holds a short link whose destination can be edited without changing the printed code.

Is the dynamic QR code included in the Free plan?

No. Editing the destination is a Pro feature. The Free plan creates black-and-white QR codes with a short link and a click counter.

Do I need to reprint the code when I change the destination?

No. The printed code points to a short link that doesn’t change. Only the destination page is edited.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Your links keep working. You can’t edit destinations or go beyond 10 active links until you go Pro again.

Can I track scans of my dynamic QR code?

Yes. The total number of clicks is visible on every plan, and Pro adds the breakdown by day, country, device type and referrer.
